Storage Instructions When you receive your parcel we suggest that you store the test in your refrigerator to prolong the shelf life. You must allow the test to come to room temperature prior to use by lifting it out of the fridge for about an hour before you run the test. If the test is not at room temperature it will not run correctly. Freezing the test or storing at high temperatures will shorten the shelf life considerably. The test is a hormone test and detects pregnancy hormones within the mare’s urine.
No hormone test is 100% accurate as the level of hormone fluctuates for a number of reasons. However we believe that the tests we supply are the most reliable equine hormone tests available at the present time. These tests are not a substitute for veterinary advice and should you have any concerns we strongly recommend that you seek the advice of your veterinarian.
Test Information The WeeFoal tests perform best on a fresh, early in the day collected urine sample at room temperature. Please use a dry, clean collection device. If you cant run the test right away, collected uriine sampl maybe stored refrigerated up to 4 hours or frozen for 30 days prior to testing. Use a well lighted, flat area when running the test.
* Although the presence of equine pregnancy hormone usually indicates a mare is in foal other conditions can cause a mare to produce this hormone. Should you be in any doubt about the well-being of your horse please consult your veterinary surgeon. A positive test is not a guarantee of a successful pregnancy or live foal.
